Brooks offers resources that many Pain Rehabilitation patients take advantage of following completion of the program. With these segments of the Brooks continuum of care, we focus on all that you can do in the days and years ahead.
Brooks Center for Rehabilitation Studies
This amazing resource, in collaboration with the University of Florida, offers patients access to highly credentialed researchers working on the latest emerging treatments. What we learn at this facility ensures that patients with chronic pain receive nothing less than the latest, most effective rehabilitation available. Research is currently being conducted to: 1) examine the effects of long-term narcotic and opiate use; 2) determine how excessive fear of movement affects pain and disability; and 3) measure pain by establishing criteria based on the patient's perspective of success. Eligible patients can participate at no cost.
