This adaptive sports expo will also feature talks by two Paralympic gold medalists, Scott Brown and Andre Shelby, plus Goalball and Rugby demonstrations.

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: All Sport Expo

10:30 – 11 a.m.: Paralympian Scott Brown speaks

11:30 a.m. – Noon: Goalball Demonstration

Introduction to Paralympic Track and Field

From 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. the same day, we invite you to join us at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital for an introduction to Paralympic Track and Field. Novice and Experienced Athletes can learn what it takes to reach the Paralympic level. Coaches, athletic directors, therapists, prosthetists and educators can learn how to identify and support athletes on their journey to the Paralympics. Come to have all your questions answered by the experts.

Paralympic Track and Field Clinic

Since 2007, US Paralympics has partnered with community organizations from across the country to create a network of Paralympic Sport Clubs that provide local sport programming for people with Paralympic-eligible impairments. In 2015, Brooks ASRP was recognized as a Paralympic Sports Club based on the wide-variety of programs we offer and our continued support of Paralympic athletes and hopefuls.

On Sunday, we are hosting our first Paralympic Track and Field Clinic!  Five Paralympic Coaches will be running the clinic at Sandalwood High School from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  This event is open to anyone with an interest in Paralympic Track and Field.

Intro Clinic Registration: 8:30 – 9 a.m.

Track & Field Intro Clinic: 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (lunch included)
