Volunteer Opportunities
Our Volunteer Services department provides an opportunity for personal growth, education, and service to others. Our goal is to meet the needs of our volunteers while carrying out our vision of providing world-class service to our patients. Volunteer assignments are made according to interest, availability, location and the skills needed to fulfill task requirements. Review our volunteer programs available below.
Please Note: We require that all volunteers commit to a minimum of 100 hours or 6 months of service. All open volunteer opportunities can be reviewed by following the link to our Volunteer Application.
Summer VolunTeen Program
The 2024 Summer VolunTeen Program application is now closed. Check back early February 2025 to apply for the summer program.
The program runs for 6 weeks, from June 10 – July 26. VolunTeens will be required to be present for a minimum of 5 weeks and hours may vary based on role assigned.
Interview Process & Orientation
Interviews will be conducted in March. Candidates will then be placed in their best matched position, based on the information they provide. Orientation for the program will take place June 10, 2024. VolunTeens are required to attend orientation.
Peer Mentoring Program
We are always accepting applications for our Peer Mentoring Program. If you are a minimum of one year post injury (SCI, TBI, Amputees, & Stroke) and interested in helping others navigate their new life situation, please use this link to our Peer Mentor Application.
Community Programs
We also have volunteer opportunities through our Community Programs. These opportunities are great if you are looking for a role that offers flexible time commitments and have an interest sport or recreational activities.

What’s next?
Volunteer applicants can expect:
- To be contacted by a member of Volunteer services
- To participate in an interview
- To complete the necessary onboarding documents
- To provide proof of requested vaccinations
- To complete background check (if participating in direct contact and if over 18 years old)
- To be connected with their lead and provided a schedule
